Time Out says

German restaurant and bar chain Bavarian Beerhouse is pretty much a year-round celebration of Oktoborfest, but that hasn’t stopped them redoubling their efforts for September and October in a frenzy of stein-lifting and bench-dancing.

Most of the staff hail from Germany and will be decked out in traditional Dirndl dresses and Lederhosen, so guests will be celebrating in good company. Each day musicians playing alphorns, cowbells and tubas will be turning up the oompah vibes to get diners and drinkers on their feet. All the meat served at Bavarian Beerhouse comes from Germany, with pork shanks, sausages, dumplings, schnitzel platters and freshly baked pretzels filling the er, filling menu. The beers are also German and, if those who are very thirsty can order the boot-shaped Krombacher Stiefel 1.5L or the Erdinger XXL glass (which holds a whopping six pints).

Both London branches of Bavarian Beerhouse are looking for someone special to kick off the celebrations by whacking the first keg with a great big wooden hammer and shouting 'O'zapft is' ('It's tapped') on Wednesday September 23. Al Murray had the honour last year but if you think you've got what it takes get in contact with the restaurant here and tell them why they should pick you.
