Natural History Museum After Hours

An after-hours opportunity to see 'Wildlife Photographer of the Year' (admission charge applies) and the 'Images of Nature' gallery, as well as selected highlights of the museum. Bars, with jazz, Latin and world music, are open from 6pm to 10pm. A special event this month is the part-theatre/part-science 'Crime Scene Live: The Box of Bones', a chance to learn how museum scientists assist police with real cases while piecing together the mystery of a box of bones 'discovered' in a museum cupboard. Those taking part will collect and process evidence before taking their findings to the museum theatre where real barristers and a judge call everything into question (6.30pm; £40, booking essential).
