Pete Brown knows his pint: he's won Beer Writer of the Year twice, worked with Stella Artois, and published five books about booze. Tonight, he explores the ways in which beer has been flogged to the public over the years, looking at classic beer advertising and its remarkable ability to lure punters to the pub. The talk – covering the Victorian times to the present day – will pick up on everything from those 'Guinness is Good For You' posters to '90s alcopop ads. There'll be a fully-stocked bar on standby.
