Museumaker Exhibition

An exhibition about Museumaker, a project designed to allow cultural and historic venues to commission new artwork from contemporary makers. Sixteen venues around the country have been involved, including Valentines Mansion, where Timorous Beasties created a bespoke textile for use in the garden on deckchairs, windbreaks and parasols. The textile is heat-sensitive, so during the day a composite image of the mansion and gardens appears on the garden furniture, then fades with the drop in temperature as darkness approaches (see museumaker.com for more information about the project).
