Find out more about the spittle-ridden depths of your mouth with the return of ‘Into the Orifice’, a festival boasting a series of pop-ups around the London Bridge area set up by KCL’s Science Gallery London. Highlight include 'The Afterbite' - an interactive installation in Borough Market allowing visitors to experience what it would be like to be eaten by animals (Oct 7-16), a 'Spit Crystal' project looking at how crystals can be produced using saliva (Nov 8-11), a series of free poetry and performance workshops with extra points awarded to oral-oriented pieces (Oct 6-13), and a night called 'Science of Snogging' which looks at the science, history and anthropology of smooching (Oct 6).
