Ahead of her forthcoming book ‘Caribe: A Cookbook With History’, chef and food writer Keshia Sakarah will be leading a cracking three-hour cooking class in the studio kitchen at the Garden Museum. Why not take your Mum along for a sample menu of tomato and baigan choka (a method to roast veg), kitchri (rice and mung beans) and coconut tart? Caribbean cuisine oozes flavour, so this cooking class (suitable for over 18s of all abilities) could be a brilliant way to add some spice to Mother’s Day.
Mothering Sunday will also be one of your last opportunities to catch the charming floral paintings at ‘Fruition’, a collection of works by Marie Bell-Salter. It’s well worth checking out while you’re there, and entry is free. You can read some more info here.
