May Morris Embroidery Exhibition

Time Out says

The work of May Morris, the younger of William Morris's two daughters, is the subject of this exhibition which marks the 150th anniversary of her birth at Red House, Bexleyheath. On display are embroideries and embroidery designs by an artist whose achievements have been somewhat over-shadowed by those of her father. May, however, has recently been commemorated in the Royal Mail's 'Britons of Distinction' stamp collection with a reproduction of her 'Orange Tree' embroidery. Owned by the William Morris Society and on display here, 'Orange Tree' is a fine example of May's delicately balanced design and bold colouring.
