Time Out says

This festival is celebrating the 130th anniversary of the Bow Matchwomen’s groundbreaking strike of 1888. The famous industrial action by the women and teenage girls working at the Bryant and May Factory in Bow. Their unexpected victory began a social movement from which the new union movement sprang, eventually leading to the founding of the Labour Party. Marking the celebrations will be talks from Michael Rosen, Shami Chakrabarti, Rachel Holmes, Louise Raw and many more.
