This evening of talks, film and performance centres on the economic and health challenges faced by the surge of immigrants to the East End of London. The event, devised by Journey to Justice- an organisation that strives to inspire people in the UK to become active in social justice movements, comes at a time when a historic number of people are fleeing war, and Martin Luther King's call for universal economic justice continues to resonate. Speakers will explore the impact it has on children and families, and how communities can secure their rights. Eithne Nightingale, Professor Gordon Lynch, Dr Michael McMillan, MC Naga and Bethnal Green Academy students make up the line-up. Visit the Martin Luther King Day Event page to book in advance.
