Time Out says

Inspired by the 'British Folk Art' exhibition, Tate Britain is hosting a weekend of artists' workshops and events for anyone who fancies getting a bit crafty (Friday July 4-Sunday July 6). On Saturday July 5 there will be free events for young makers all day. From 10am-11am kids aged four to seven can get stuck in, making digital drawings and writing stories inspired by funny faces or strange places, then post their creations on the Tate Kids website. Older children aged eight to thirteen can combine circuitry and sewing to produce e-textile objects inspired by quilts and embroidery (noon-3pm). In the afternoons from 4pm to 6pm artists will be offering tips for creative 15-to-25-year-olds who want to promote their work online. Places for the young makers' events are free but must be booked online in advance; check the website for a full line-up of talks and workshops.
