Lord's is more than just a famous cricket ground – as the headquarters of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), it is the official guardian of the Laws of cricket. As well as staging test matches and internationals, Lord's cricket ground is also home to the Middlesex County Cricket Club (MCCC). Visitors can take an organised tour around the futuristic, pod-like media centre and august, portrait-bedecked Long Room. Highlights of the guided Lords' Tour include the Players’ Dressing Room, the MCC Museum and the tiny urn containing the Ashes (this fragile symbol never leaves Lord's, no matter how many times the Australians win it; a Waterford Glass trophy is awarded to the winning captain). Tours do not take place on major match days and there may be restrictions on other match days.
