South Bank says
Stretching along the banks of the Thames between Lambeth and Blackfriars bridges, South Bank is London’s most walkable cultural district.

Soak in the riverside views this summer with a sunset stroll along the Queen's Walk while stopping along the way to enjoy drinks and street from one of the many summer pop-ups.

Spend the evening enjoying cocktails at a rooftop bar, book a top-notch pre-theatre dinner at Lasdun or Forza Wine, indulge in Afternoon Tea with a view of Big Ben at County Hall or check out London's new Paddington Bear Experience.

If street food is more your thing, head to the huge Between the Bridges beer garden and courtyard, try Jimmy's BBQ Club by the river or browse the stalls at KERB's summer pop-up on the National Theatre terrace.

Culture vultures are spoiled for choice! Catch the latest in world cinema at the BFI, immerse yourself in contemporary art at the Hayward Gallery, watch award-winning theatre at the National Theatre and soak up world-class music, dance, poetry and performance at the Southbank Centre.

When it comes to shopping, ditch the high street crowds and head to South Bank for some boutique indie shopping instead, where you can shop small and meet the makers at Oxo Tower and Gabriel's Wharf's boutiques and design studios.

Finally, for something off the beaten path head underground to London's longest graffiti tunnel Leake Street, and when it comes to those iconic photo opportunities – the London Eye is of course a must!
