Inspired by Simon Garfield’s ‘To the Letter’ and Shaun Usher’s ‘Letters of Note’, Letters Live is a beloved evening bringing together world-class performers who read out remarkable letters written over the centuries. This extra-special show marks International Women’s Day and will see an impressive line-up of well-known actors and performers read out a diverse list of correspondence in the illustrious setting of the Royal Albert Hall. Previous readers have included Gillian Anderson, Olivia Colman, Taika Waititi, Emma Corrin, Brian Cox, and Laura Mvula reading missives like Virginia Woolf's heart-breaking suicide letter to the recipe for drop scones sent by Queen Elizabeth II to President Eisenhower. This performance will raise money for the Women's Prize Trust, which helps to improve access to women's writing.
