You may already know Le Bun from such street food parties as Street Feast and the Southbank Centre's winter market. You may remember their crispy, salty duck confit burger with its crispy shoestring fries and creamy béarnaise and the gigantic Truffle Double Double burger, all juicy and luxurious. They've taken over the kitchen at Leicester House, a hotel tucked between China Town and the bustle of Leicester Square, and they've filled it with neon, retro board games, Hawaiian shirts and truly delicious French-American food.
As well as their usual treats, the menu includes some lively cocktails, the most indulgent doughnuts we've ever heard of – foie gras beignets – and some very special specials. The brunch menu's Shrimp and Scallop Po' Bun is definitely not to be missed, and bottomless Mimosas (£20) sound like a pretty good way to round it off. In the central London jumble of chains and Chinese buffets, this residency's le bomb.
