LDF: Bankside Design District

The Bankside area is brimming with happenings this LDF, with many of the projects focussing on typography, drawing fans of fonts and type to the waters edge. A major highlight is a pop-up exhibition from San Francisco’s Letterform Archive, showcasing work by Eric Gill, Edward Johnston, Herbert Matter and Piet Zwart. Elsewhere, Oxo Tower Wharf will provide a hub for designer-maker product launches and parties, while its courtyard will host Mini Living’s Urban Cabin. The micro-house re-worked for LDF by Sam Jacob includes a shared kitchen and mini library, designed to give visitors a space to share ideas on urban living.
