Using Jamaican-British dub poet Linton Kwesi Johnson’s 1978 poem 'It Dread Inna Inglan' as inspiration, this year's first Late at Tate Britain responds to a display of newly acquired photography, Stan Firm inna Inglan, highlighting the important long-standing contributions made by African and Caribbean migrants to the UK. The evening features music from Touching Bass - a family of South London-based soul disciples focused on forwarding the legacy of black-oriented music, performance poerty from Kareem Parkins-Brown, a creative workshop led by Brixton-based skate and lifestyle brand Satta as well as special film screenings and discussions.
