Tate Britain's latest late is taking on the politics of hair. 'Cut and Colour' will be exploring why we style our barnets the way we do, inspired by the gallery's collection which includes five centuries of artists' depictions of eyebrows, beards and body hair. Social historian, writer and broadcaster Emma Dabiri will be discussing the politics of black hair, learn beauty tips and take part in discussion curated by magazine 'Burnt Roti', which gives the South Asian community a platform to talk about and showcase talent, catch a screening of new short film 'This Hair of Mine' in which Jamaican-born, London-based hair stylist Cyndia Harvey explores the beauty of afro hair, plus hear music from 'Resis'Dance' - women challenging gender norms in the party and political scene.
