Cat-lovers are the butt of some pretty unfortunate stereotyping on occasion, so it's nice to see an event that caters to their interests, even if assuming they love knitting is stereotyping, too. But if you do love cats and knitting, or love cats and would like to start knitting, this is the club for you. There’s a £2 suggested donation to take part (though further donations towards the care of Battersea's cats are of course gratefully received), and suggested projects include knitted mice, blankets and toys for feline friends at the centre or at home. Bring along your own wool and needles to take part. If you can't make it to one of the events to knit in the company of cats but would like to get involved then look online for blanket and mice patterns.
