Part of the UK/Russia year of culture, this exhibition explores the stunning iconography and radical design innovations of Soviet film posters from the 1920s. Mass produced, they are ephemeral works of art, surprisingly few of which have survived. Nonetheless, the curators have managed to gather 30 key works by likes of the Stenberg brothers, Yakov Ruklevsky, Aleksandr Naumov, Mikhail Dlugach and Nikolai Prusakov.
GRAD will also be running a programme of film screenings alongside the exhibition, including such classics as October, The End of St Petersburg and Storm Over Asia.
