It's astonishing to think that London didn't have a proper sewer system until the nineteenth century. Before the Victorians, effluent just spilled all over the street, forming great piles of mountainous mess all over London. Okay, maybe not quite, but it was still pretty gross. This exhibition will look at the fascinating history of sanitation and hygiene in our once-disgusting city. Delicious.
