Have you always thought rice cakes are nothing more than chewable air? Upmarket flogger of organic white discs, Kallo, are here to change your mind with the KRC Takeaway Experience. The idea is to serve up free snacks that somehow incorporate a Kallo rice cake. There’s the ‘The Bhaji’ (a corn cake topped with baked onion bhaji, fresh mango pico, mint yoghurt and a coriander salad) and the ‘Halloumi Doner’, a twist on the kebab classic, served on a Lentil cake. A simpler menu option is an unsalted rice cake covered in melted mozarella (or, as the rest of us know it – ‘what you eat when you’re moving out of your flat and you’ve already packed the food away’). It’s first come, first served, and before you ask, it’s very much a real thing.
