Japan and the Art of Survival

The Financial Times’ David Pilling, Asia Editor, and Gideon Rachman, Chief Foreign Affairs columnist, will be in conversation about Pilling’s new book Bending Adversity: Japan and the Art of Survival. Drawing on a wide range of Japanese voices and Pilling’s own experiences living in Japan as a foreign correspondent, the account explores contemporary Japan by examining it’s economics, history, politics and contemporary reportage.
