Some 30 films have been selected from a record number of entries to be screened at this free festival. They examine both the causes and effects of war and confilct, employing both realism and imagination to compete for the title of Best Documentary, Best Creative Response and the film that best responds to World War I. Submissions centre on conflict zones from Hiroshima to Syria, and on experiences from that of legendary photographer Robert Capa to a German WWII prisoner of war.
