Time Out says

To coincide with the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Nehru Gallery of Indian Art, the V&A will present an 'Indian Season' with a series of exhibitions, activities and events scheduled for 2015.

Captain Linneaus Tripe: Photographer of India and Burma, 1854-1860 (Jun-Oct 2015) will feature pioneering British photography documenting some of the earliest landscapes and architecture of India and Burma, while The Fabric of India (Sept 2015- Jan 2016) will be the first major exhibition to explore beautiful handmade Indian textiles from the 3rd to 21st century. Historic costume, prized textiles made for trade and examples of traditional techniques for dyeing, weaving and embroidery will all be on show. Check the V&A website for full list of events.

A glittering exhibition of both traditional and modern Indian jewellery will also take place during the season. Bejewelled Treasures: The Al Thani Collection (Nov 2015-Mar 2016) will include Mughai jades and a rare jewelled gold finial from the throne of Tipu Sultan.
