Time Out says

The world's best slalom canoeists take on the 2012 Olympic course in the biggest event before Rio itself. There will be 300 competitors from 55 nations taking part in an event last hosted in Britain in 1995, and the British team has high hopes after winning seven golds and a silver at last year's World Cup. There are also qualification points for Rio on the line, so the races should be keenly contested.

In addition to the racing, the organisers have made sure families stay entertained: a bouncy castle and climbing walls will be laid on, as well as opportunities for the kids to try a bit of paddling themselves.

Note: Tickets sold on the day are a bit more expensive, while multi-day tickets bought in advance bring the price down per day. Car parking is available for a fee (but can be booked more cheaply in advance).
