The one cup sake was invented in 1964 for those Japanese spectators who built up a thirst watching the Tokyo Olympics. Natsuki Kikuya, founder of the Museum of Sake, has brought together 20 different varieties of these individual portions of sake and has created a 20 metre-long paper bar in The Hoxton. And just for the nostalgia kick, footage from the '64 Olympics will be playing.
