Time Out says

Southwark Refugee Response are throwing a night of poetry and spokenword at The Peckham Pelican to raise awareness of refugee and migrant experiences. Hear moving performances from AWATE, a rapper and producer from Eritrea and now living in Camden; writer, journalist and poet Bridget Minamore; author Fran Lock; and award-winning spoken word artist, poet, playwright and author Joelle Taylor. The night will be hosted by Sam Berkson, aka 'Angry Sam', who has been hosting and promoting live poetry events for ten years. His most recent collection of poetry, ‘Settled Wanderers’, records his experience living on the Western Saharan refugee camps and contains the first English translations of Saharawi poetry.
