Holi Celebrations at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir

The traditional Hindu ceremonies for Holi that take place at the school opposite BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Neasdon’s spectacular Hindu temple are the real deal – and all are welcome. The focus of the festivities, which greet the arrival of spring and celebrate new life, is the purifying bonfire, rather than the throwing of colours that partying westerners have embraced with such enthusiasm. Refreshments and hot snacks are on sale at foodstalls all evening.
