Historic Almshouse Tours

One atmospheric room in a wing of the Geffrye Museum has been restored to look exactly as it would have done in Georgian times, the other in authentic Victorian style. The tours are conducted by knowledgeable volunteers who really bring the place to life with anecdotes about the former eighteenth-century and nineteenth-century inhabitants. They take place on selected Saturdays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the year at 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm, with additional 4pm tours from April. Tickets are allocated at the museum (it’s worth telephoning in advance to check availability).
