The London Transport Museum's 1938 Art Deco tube train and Engine No. 12, 'Sarah Siddens', are put back into service for journeys along the Metropolitan Line out into the Metro-land suburbs. There are four journeys to choose from, lasting between 30 minutes and 100 minutes. Participants are encouraged to dress in fashions from a bygone era and are invited to bring their knitting – I Knit London will be in attendance. Included in the price is a heritage bus service between Amersham station and Amersham Old Town, where there's a classic car display and traditional entertainment. See the website for routes, departure points and times. Booking essential.
