Coinciding with Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, HeForShe Arts Week is coming to London for the first time, championing gender equality through the arts.
HeForShe, the UN Women’s gender equality campaign was launched in 2014 by UN-Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and UN Women Global Goodwill Ambassador, Emma Watson. The movement’s Arts Week, taking place in various cities across the world, aims to raise awareness and funding for gender equality through various arts projects.
Events will take place across London from Mar 8-15, including exclusive screenings of the Emily Dickinson biopic 'A Quiet Passion' and Disney's remake of 'Beauty and the Beast', panel discussions, comedy and music nights - all in celebration of women's rights.
