Once a strip of wasteland, this abandoned patch by Upper Marsh was transformed into a half-acre urban farm in 2014 where you’ll find cows, pigs, frolicking lambs and chickens running freely around the grounds. They also grow their own veggies along with other beautiful plants, which are celebrated at its annual harvest festival. Head along to join craft workshops – from pumpkin carving to macrame weaving, sip on warm drinks (mulled apple juice for little ’uns and cider for the grown-ups). There’ll also be fireside storytelling and an old-fashioned sing-a-long. The event will be collecting donations for the Waterloo Foodbank.
