Of the many seasonal ice rinks that now open each year across London, the one at Hampton Court has perhaps the finest historic setting - outside the main entrance of Henry VIII's grand red-brick palace. The rink is illuminated at night, and there are champers and mulled wine for apres-skate in the Ice Bar & Cafe. You can book ice-skating lessons, and to assist nervous skaters a fully trained Ice Guide can be booked for £32.
