The Old Operating Theatre makes for a suitably creepy setting for these Halloween family events, which include: 'Break Your Leg and Die!' (Oct 29, Nov 2 2pm), a historical re-enactment and talk about nineteenth-century surgery; 'The Surgeon's Apprentice' (Oct 31 2pm; age 5+) workshop to learn about hospitals of the era and make a 'cut-out kit'; 'A Plague on Your House!' (Nov 1 2pm; age 5+) workshop to learn about rats, fleas, buboes and quacks; 'Bodysnatchers' (Nov 4 2pm; age 12+) lecture about the origins of London's Resurrection Men.
