Every good excursion ends in a pub meal and participants in the Hackney Night Cycle will be especially deserving. The two-hour route (taken at an easy pace, no racing) will take cyclists along the Regents Canal and the River Lee, past the houseboats and then through the urban sprawl into the Hertfordshire countryside. Winding up with dinner at the Fish and Eels pub on the River Lee satisfied cyclists will then pile on the train to come home.
