Aiming to raise money for Kent Greyhound Rescue, the Grey Heart Greyhounds group are inviting animal lovers to take part in The Tough 5, 10 or 15k run through Greenwich Park with them. It's estimated that over 20,000 greyhounds are bred solely for racing each year with over half of them losing their lives afterwards. The group are fundraising in order to re-home as many of these dogs as possible and with a whopping target of £10,000 they need as much help as possible. There's no need to reach the same speed as the breed but an incentive of drinks, refreshments and a medal at the finish line might just spur you on. If running's not your thing, donations can still be made via the fundraising page. Visit the the Grey Heart Fun Run page for more information and a discount code for registration.
