Time Out says

This three-day festival commemorates the devastating effect of the great plague back in 1665 with an events programme that include walks, talks, performances, children's workshops and more. Visitors can learn about the deadly plague which killed tens of thousands each week at events that include a Dead Cart Procession walk to the church of St Botolph's where a pit was created to bury the dead (Sept 4). A Pepys Party also takes place in the Hung Drawn and Quartered pub to celebrate the unconquerable spirit of London in seeing off the plague (Sept 6). Many events are free and others should be booked in advance.
