'Please do not under any circumstances try to find me. I have gone,' read the note that a 15-year-old Gerry Cottle left his parents when he ran away to join the circus in 1961. The southwest London lad began circus life as a clown before moving on to juggling, stilt walking, bareback horse riding, fire eating and crocodile training. The 68-year-old retired in 2003, but this month returns with a special 'Wow Circus' show to celebrate 50 years on the road. Audiences can expect to see 50 acts in 100 minutes, featuring Sky High daredevils, rock ’n' roll skaters, illusionists, acrobats, jugglers and comedy chaos.
