Life may be better down where it's wetter, but getting by when you live under the sea isn't as simple as it first seems. Marine animals such as whales and dolphins rely on their parents passing down behaviours to know crucial information such as where's safe to breed, and when a species becomes extinct in a particular area it affects these communications and connections. In this free talk Emma Carroll will discuss her studies in behaviour and the chemical signatures of feeding grounds, explaining how they'll be used to better conserve and understand ecologically important species. Tickets are free but places must be reserved in advance.
