Step up to the Tough 10 challenge
Across the country there are a series of Tough 10 events of varying levels of toughness. London’s Epping Forest challenge on October 23 is rated ‘Tough’ (one out of three) – ideal even if you haven’t taken on a 10k trail run before.
But that’s not to say it’s a stroll in the park. Running through Epping’s historic woodland, you’ll have to watch out for roots and uneven paths as you dart through the forest and across the countryside.
Fancy getting even tougher?
If you reckon you’re hard enough, why not sign up for one of the ‘Toughest’ routes too? There’s a level-three Tough 10 happening just outside London, at Box Hill in Surrey on November 19.
There are also Tough 10 challenges in the Chilterns, the Peak District, Staffordshire and beyond, if you’re feeling truly intrepid.
Be tough, be there
