Gardening Under Glass

It’s fair to say that most of us have killed a houseplant at some point – be it by neglect or over zealous watering. Chelsea Physic Garden's Senior Horticulturalist Kate Wilkinson is coming to the rescue with an introduction to caring for indoor plants - from tropical palms to pots on window-ledges. The session will introduce participants to a brief history of growing under glass and to the plants growing in the gardens glasshouse. Practical topics covered will include dealing with pests, identifying diseases, choosing the right compost and the mysteries of watering. Those still struggling to keep anything green alive might consider a plastic alternative.
