Way back in 1641 a 'lewd woman' was arrested for a 'breach of the peace' in what is now Soho and became the first sign of the area's fate. It's long been associated with crime and vice, and this walking tour will dig some dirt on Soho's gangland heydey: the 1920s-1970s. Hear about famous criminals' dealings in the nightclubs and members' clubs and learn about some new characters from the canon of London's troublemakers, including the corrupt Met Police officers who helped the corrupt get even richer. Meet at Goodge Street station. Booking available but not essential.
