You’ll probably be familiar with GAIL’s bakeries. From humble beginnings providing freshly baked loaves to restaurants it’s become a local favourite across London with 22 branches from Chiswick to Soho. They now serve more than bread, although it’s still a big deal, they make 30 types. The menu now includes reliably tasty savoury and sweet treats including soups, sandwiches, brioches and brownies. Now in it’s 10th year the GAIL’s garden party is a great excuse to sample their varied offerings. The market-style event also showcases products from GAIL’s supplier including Hansen and Lydersen’s Norwegian smoked salmon, Bath Soft Cheeses and the Fresh Olive Company. Drinks-wise there will be stalls from fresh pressed juice company Chegworth Valley and Pureath as well as speciality coffer roasters Union and The East London Liquor Company. Lily’s Kitchen will provide treats for four legged friends and there will be a dedicated children’s area to keep little ones happy. Entry to the event is free with part of the profits donated in support of Water Aid.
