Frost Fair 200

Time Out says

Things spotted on the River Thames during winter 2014: cold boat-tripping tourists, freezing rowers and lots of crisp packets. Things spotted on the frozen-over Thames during the Little Ice Age over 200 years ago: taverns, stalls, ice skaters and (once) an elephant. Broadgate is revisiting the London frost fairs of earlier centuries by hosting a market, street games, live performances and free ice-skating. Sessions will be on a first come first served basis from 5pm onwards, if you're a bit bambi-esque on ice then stay safely rink side and enjoy barbecue food, hot cider, stilt walkers and wandering minstrels instead.
