Frog Day

A family fun day to celebrate the time of year when frogs wake up from their big winter sleep and return to their ponds to lay frogspawn. Activities include pond dipping, a chance to view frogspawn under the microscope, frogtastic mask making and a garden pond workshop. Visitors of all ages can follow the 'What Does the Frog Say' trail to win some prizes, while toddlers can learn amphibian facts on the 'Tadpole's Trail'. As it's a day to celebrate mothers as well as frogs, all mums and female carers will be treated to free tea and cake.
