An event aimed primarily at students who hope to work in the music industry – as a band manager, radio/TV plugger, A&R agent, journalist, PR, or by starting up a record label. Six professionals discuss how they got their break in the industry and give advice about how to get a foot in the door. Speakers include Simon Raymonde, founder of Bella Union Records, John Best, manager of Sigur Rós, and A&R agent Dean Wengrow. The talk is followed by a Q&A session. RSVP by email to michelle.summerfield@kcl.ac.uk is essential.
