The Caped Crusader has been making London his home for the last few months via the spectacular immersive exhibition Batman Unmasked. Before he heads home for Gotham City, we’re giving Time Out readers an exclusive opportunity to see the exhibition at half price – that means they're from just £12! Here’s five reasons to go and see this once-in-a-lifetime exhibition before it closes on January 5.

1. It’s full of incredible Batman props and memorabilia from the actual films

Batman Unmasked basically contains the crème de la crème of Batman props, costumes and vehicles from the Warner Bros Studios vaults from over 35 years of films – from Batman to The Batman and all points in between. Got a favourite batsuit? It’s probably there. Want to see some massive cool black vehicles up close? You can – the actual Batmobile from the latest film is present and correct, among others.

2. It’s a thrilling immersive experience

This is not a dry, museum style set up, with the props displayed in brightly lit rooms with zero atmosphere. It‘s a carefully designed experience that immerses you in the brooding splendour and madness of Batman’s Gotham City. Enter the Batcave through the Wayne Manor library, go on to experience the lunacy of the Joker’s Room and the Arkham Maze. It’s a lot more than just politely looking at stuff.

3. It’s perfect for kids

The gritty gothic grandeur of the various Batman films is clearly not always totally child friendly – your eight-year-old probably hasn’t seen The Batman. But so long as they’re into the idea of the Dark Knight generally, then Batman Unmasked is not only suitable for kids but actively welcoming to them: aside from the atmospheric rooms and cool memorabilia, there’s fun stuff to do like dive into classic Batman comics, play Batman Scalextric against a friend, and kick back and play some classic Batman console games. The perfect holiday treat!

4. It’s also perfect for adults

While kids have been well catered for, the Batman films are of course largely pitched at adults and teenagers, and if you’re a fan then Batman Unmasked is a must-see – a sophisticated immersive experience and the opportunity to get up close and personal to the props from the films you love. It’s also open until 7pm on Fridays and 8pm on Saturdays, so great for a spot of cultural fun before heading off on a night out.

5. You should book now to secure this great price

Whether you have kids or not, Christmas in London can leave you so distracted with family visits and other seasonal malarkey that you can forget to actually plan for the days when you have some time on your hands. Well plan now – this half-price offer is a terrific deal to one of the most distinctive London experiences of the year.

Take advantage of half-price tickets to Batman Unmasked through Time Out Offers. Ends January 5.
