First Time Out at the Horniman

A chance to see objects that have never been on display before, from five London collections – the Horniman Museum, Kew Gardens, Natural History Museum, Wellcome Collection and the Science Museum. The objects are displayed in rotation at the five venues, with the host institutions offering their own perspectives. The schedule at the Horniman is as follows: an Easter Island dance paddle from the Horniman (Jan 20-Mar 6); Burroughs Wellcome and Company 'Livingstone' medicine chest from the Wellcome Collection (Mar 7-Apr 17); a selection of toys from the collection of child psychologist Margaret Lowenfeld, from the Science Museum (Apr 19-May 29); a koala lemur skull from the Natural History Museum (June 1-July 10); Japanese wooden panels from Kew Gardens (July 12-Aug 21).
