There’s an excellent roster of big and small film festivals in London, and The Royal African Society has been bringing us a curated programme of the best of African films since 2011. Feature-length premiers, shorts and documentary screenings will be accompanied by Q&As with directors, panel discussions and workshops. Opening night will feature a screening of the award-winning Dahomey, directed by Senegalese filmmaker Mati Diop, and closing night will feature Black Tea, a romantic drama by Mauritian director Abderrahmane Sissako. But the festival runs for a little over a week in the autumn, so have a look at the website for more info on the programme.
