Entertaining an audience of 4,000 Legion supporters and military families – and, for the evening performance, the Royal Family – with a combination of military bands and celebrities, the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance pays tribute to military personnel who have died in service.
Star turns will include pop from James Blunt and Katie Melua, opera from Alfie Boe and Britain's Got Talent duo Jonathan and Charlotte, and military music from the Band of the Royal Marines and the Central Band of the Royal Air Force. There will also be an appearance by the Poppy Girls quintet – a group of 10- to 17-year-old singers formed specially for the Remembrance commemorations.
The Royal Albert Hall releases a limited number of tickets for sale to the general public for the matinee performance from Oct 28.
